The technology that I chose to research is Bluetooth.
Questions:
1. When was this technology developed?
2. Where would you findthis technology?
3. Do you personally own a device with this technology?
4. What are the main uses for this technology?
5. Are there any other uses that you can think of?
6. Do you feel this technology will still be used in 10 years or be replaced with something better?
MY ANSWERS:
1. The Bluetooth specification was developed in 1994 by Sven Mattison and Jaap Haartsen. The name Bluetooth, however, is taken from the 10th century Danish King, Harald Blatand or Harold Bluetooth, in English.
2. Computers, hand phones, cameras (?), game boys, and many other devices use Bluetooth for one thing or another.
3. Yes. I have a game boy and a hand phone that both use Bluetooth.
4. Most people use it to send photos, songs, and/or video clips to other people using their hand phones. Some game boys use it to connect with each other, too.
5. Not really because I’m not very sure about what other things Bluetooth can do… I know that there are more things that it can doo, but for now, all I’m sure about it connecting one device to another.
6. I think that, someday, it will be replaced with something better that can connect two devices that are miles and miles away from each other. That will be cool.
Well, those are my answers.
